Sakurano Park

Overview

Sakurano Park is a park in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. Known as a place famous for its blossoms since the Edo period, it is counted among the Hida Hakkei, the Eight Views of Hida chosen for their beauty. In 2003 it was further selected as one of the Hida-Mino Sakura Thirty-three, making it a cherry-blossom spot that represents the Hida region. Amid the clear air characteristic of high-altitude Takayama, the blossoms spread across the whole park when their season arrives.

History
