
Overview
The Fukui Fine Arts Museum is a prefectural art museum in Bunkyo, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture. Opened in 1977, it is known for a rich collection of some 2,840 works, including prints by Goya and Picasso and paintings by Iwasa Matabei. The building, designed by architect Takeo Sato, was awarded the BCS Prize.

History
The museum opened on November 1, 1977. It was designed by the architect Takeo Sato, and the building received the BCS Prize. Its collection also includes works by artists connected to Okakura Tenshin and the beginnings of the Nihon Bijutsuin.
