
Overview
Tokyo Disneyland is a theme park in Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, and one of the parks that make up the Tokyo Disney Resort. It opened on April 15, 1983, and was the first Disney park built outside the United States. It is owned by the Oriental Land Company, which licenses the theme from the Walt Disney Company.

History
Opening on April 15, 1983, it became the third Disney park after Disneyland in California and the Magic Kingdom in Florida, and the first built outside the United States. It is owned by the Oriental Land Company, established with investment from firms including Keisei Electric Railway and Mitsui Fudosan, and operates under license from the Walt Disney Company. Together with its companion park, Tokyo DisneySea, it is regarded as the only Disney park in the world not owned or operated by the Walt Disney Company in any capacity.
Access
The nearest stations are Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station, both directly adjacent to the main gate.
Best season
With its wide open spaces, the park is most comfortable to visit during periods of stable weather.
