The Ichihara Lakeside Museum is an art museum standing on the shore of Lake Takataki in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture. True to its name, it was built to blend into the lakeside scenery, offering a space where art and nature are in harmony. It is also known as the central facility of 'Ichihara Art x Mix,' an art festival held once every three years.

History

Its predecessor, the 'Ichihara City Hill of Water and Sculpture,' opened on November 1, 1995. On August 3, 2013, it reopened after renovation, with a company chaired by Fram Kitagawa serving as its designated manager. Its architecture received the AIJ Young Architect Award for Selected Architectural Designs.
