The brackish lake lies in Tōhoku, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture, and has an assigned address at 191 Ogawarako, Ōura, Tōhoku, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture. It spans the boundaries of the city of Misawa, the town of Tōhoku and the village of Rokkasho.
