History

The station was registered as an official roadside station on April 26, 1994, and has since served as a rest and information point for travelers passing through. The Futatsui area once thrived as a post town on the Ushu Kaido highway and through river transport on the Yoneshiro River, and that role as a crossroads carries on today at this Route 7 station.

Access

The station is located on National Route 7 in Kotsunagi, Futatsui-machi, Noshiro City (around 40.22 N, 140.26 E). By car it is easily reached via Route 7 from central Noshiro or from the Odate direction. By public transport, JR Ou Main Line Futatsui Station is the nearest rail access, but please confirm timetables and opening hours through official sources.

Best season

Each season offers a different mood. Spring and summer bring fresh greenery along the Yoneshiro River, while autumn colors the surrounding hills. Winter can be heavily snowy, so watch road conditions and prepare with winter equipment before visiting.
