
Overview
Nyudozaki Lighthouse is a large two-tone lighthouse painted in white and black, standing at the tip of Cape Nyudo on the northern end of the Oga Peninsula in Oga, Akita Prefecture. It lies within Oga Quasi-National Park, a scenic area overlooking the Sea of Japan. Located on the 40th parallel north, it forms a pair with Rikuchū Kurosaki Lighthouse on the Pacific side in Iwate Prefecture.

History
The lighthouse was established in 1951. Located on the 40th parallel north, it is known as a counterpart to Rikuchū Kurosaki Lighthouse on the Pacific side. A stone marker recording the longitude and latitude stands at the site.
