Overview
Hisaya Ōdori Garden Flarie is a downtown garden in the Ōsu district of Naka Ward, Nagoya, standing at almost the southernmost end of Hisaya Ōdori Park. Its predecessor was Ran no Yakata, a botanical hall devoted to orchids, and after a renewal in 2014 it reopened as a free green retreat wrapped in flowers. Set right in central Nagoya, its calm, seasonally coloured grounds are perfect for a breather between shopping and sightseeing.

History
In May 1998, Ran no Yakata opened here, displaying more than 250 species of orchids in a large glasshouse and hosting horticultural events that drew many visitors. Amid a decline in visitor numbers, it closed at the end of March 2014, and after renewal it was reborn that September as Hisaya Ōdori Garden Flarie. Today it carries on the lineage of that famous orchid garden as a flower garden of Nagoya.
Access
The garden lies near latitude 35.16 and longitude 136.92, in Ōsu 4-chōme, Naka Ward, Nagoya. Occupying the southern tip of Hisaya Ōdori Park, its nearest station is Yabachō on the subway Meijō Line. Being in central Nagoya, it is easily reached by public transport and makes a convenient stop alongside a walk through Ōsu or Sakae. Please check official sources for opening hours.
Best season
With flowers planted for every season, the garden can be enjoyed all year, though spring and early summer, when a range of blooms come together, are especially vivid.
