Oasis 21

Overview

Oasis 21 is a modern complex facility in the Sakae district of Higashi Ward, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, which opened to the public on 11 October 2002. It combines public facilities such as a park and a bus terminal with commercial establishments, and includes an area for tourist information. As an urban park it forms part of Hisaya Odori Park, and the nickname Oasis 21 was chosen through a public competition.

History

As an urban park it forms part of Hisaya Odori Park, and the nickname Oasis 21 was chosen through a public competition. Its roof is a large oval glass structure that floats above ground level and is filled with water for visual effect.
